Meet our Mascots Dante and Arya!
Dante was rescued in October of 2011 from a breed specific rescue in the Detroit area. Dante was found as a stray, and was an obvious abuse case.
After intensive behavior training and work to get Dante physically healthy again, he learned to love other dogs, people, and worked for years with Alex on cases to rehabilitate other dogs. Dante is now an older boy and living the life of luxury in retirement. He approves of his pension of raw dog food and enjoying sunny spots and cat naps.
Arya was rescued from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles in 2014. She was found as a stray but looked as though she had been used as a breeder and neglected. She was emaciated, covered in fleas and ticks, and was so sick she had to be carried outside for days.
Arya’s temperament has shined from day one, but her separation anxiety, stubborn streak, and high prey drive made things a challenge. After some work, she passed her CGC with flying colors, and now helps Alex as the current canine behaviorist and model citizen.
